Our design studio

Everything begins in our design studio, located in Varberg, Sweden. Here, our ideas come to life, with our designers and specialists working closely together from idea to finalised product. Our studio and full-sized prototype workshop serve as a blank canvas where concepts, shapes, materials, and construction can be tested and refined until perfection. Here, no idea is too big or small, but as with everything we do, our core philosophy is to make products that last over time in style and quality.

Our materials

Throughout our design process, we carefully select materials with great respect for people, the environment, and our planet. From the refined uppers to the lining of our shoes and accessories – step by step, we strive to improve and find sustainable substitutes for each of our product components. Our starting point is leather from LWG-certified tanneries, chrome-free tanned inner soles, and our textile linings which are all in either organic GOTS-certified cotton, recycled polyester, or Tencel™. But we do not stop there. The way forward is to keep proactively developing close collaborations with our suppliers and their sub-suppliers with transparently as a core value. This is our way of becoming more circular.

The packaging

All products must be carefully packed during transport to sustain the product's appearance and material characteristics. Our shoe boxes are customised for each model to ensure there is no unnecessary space, maintaining quality and keeping emissions caused by transport to a minimum. The filling material is both purposed to keep the product's actual shape and to ensure the shoes do not rub against each other inside the box.

The shoe box and the silk paper are made of FSC-certified paper, and the filling material is made from recycled paper. All package parts are recyclable, and the boxes are excellent for storage over time. Some of our shape sticks are made out of plastic, but will be exchanged for FSC-certified cardboard material during spring 2023.
